About us

Introduction

The club began life as One F FC, named after the Falkirk Supporters fanzine website.

The first training session took place at Stirling Road playing fields, which was later to become the venue for home games, on Sunday 12 November 2006, with 11 players partaking.

Season 2006/07

The team took part in the Scottish Supporters Mini League and finished in a respectable 2nd position, as well as being top goalscorers of the division.  For a debut season, this was an excellent achievement, as the team had only been established 8 months previous.

Season 2007/08

In season 2007/08, Bairnfica joined the Scottish Supporters Football League, a league affiliated to the Scottish Amateur Football Association.  With the change in league, changes were also made to the squad in a bid to strengthen for the forthcoming season.

One pre-season fixture saw Bairnfica record their biggest victory to date, a 16-2 win against Pie and Bovril.  This was ideal preparations for the season as 'Fica won four of our first six matches.  The team eventually finished midtable and hoped to use this first years experience to kick on for the next season.

To finish the season off, Bairnfica were asked to play in a Challenge match against Dunfermline Supporters at East End Park.  The team readily agreed, and won the game 2-0, taking the trophy back home to Falkirk.

Season 2008/09

Last season proved to be very frustrating season for Bairnfica.  Although undefeated in 9 of the 16 league games, 7 of these were draws, resulting in a lowly second last position.

It was Bairnfica's turn to host Dunfermline Supporters.  This game was played for a memorial cup, in memory of Falkirk and Dunfermline legend, George Miller, who sadly passed away.  The game took place at The Falkirk Stadium and, unfortunately, Bairnfica lost 2-1.

After the game, manager Deryk Wilson stepped down from his role, passing the responsibility on to Paul Lawson and Steven Hoggan.

Season 2009/10

Pre-season preparations are well under way for the new season.  Changes have been made in team personel as Bairnfica look to improve on last years dismal performance.  With two trophies under their belt and a solid preseason, the team are hoping to use this as a platform to build upon.

Already changes have been made this season, with two committee members quitting, one being the joint manager, leaving Steven Hoggan as solely in command.  Bairnfica have managed to come through this upheaval with respectable performances in the Inter-Divisional Cup.  This also saw the team record their highest scoring competitive win, 9-0 over Cadzow Hamilton.  Only days remain before the league challenge begins, first up FC Braes04 at home.
